CHECK OUT: Focus Features Reveals Official Theatrical Poster for ‘Phantom Thread’

Focus Features has revealed the official poster for “Phantom Thread.”

The poster will roll out to theaters nationwide ahead of the film’s theatrical release.

“Phantom Thread” stars Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis in what may or may not be his final film.

The film tells the tale of renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Day-Lewis), living in London in the 1950s. He and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) style all of British society’s rich and famous with their glamorous fashions. Reynolds, a lifelong bachelor, finds his life thrown into disarray when he meets Alma (Vicky Krieps), a young woman who suddenly becomes his muse and lover.

The film is written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. It is the second collaboration between Anderson and Day-Lewis, who previously worked together on “There Will Be Blood.”

Earlier this week, Anderson was awarded Best Screenplay for “Phantom Thread” from both the National Board of Review and the New York Film Critics Circle. He is a six-time Oscar nominee, earning nominations for four of his seven feature films. A fifth film, “The Master” scored acting nominations for three of its stars.

“Phantom Thread” will be in select theaters on December 25.
