To celebrate a year left for its release date, Patty Jenkin‘s “Wonder Woman 1984” gave fans enough to hold them over until more is revealed in the winter. Jenkins took to Twitter to reveal a stunning new poster for the film, which sees Gal Gadot suited as Wonder Woman.
This was unveiled soon after it was known that Warner Bros would not be returning to Hall H this year, a panel at San Diego Comic Con where the studio has unveiled previous sneak peeks for films in the past. The only project attending from the studio this year is Andy Muschietti’s “It: Chapter Two.” But don’t fret, because Patty Jenkins shared a sneak peek to her “Wonder Woman” follow up with a stunning poster!
The Patty Jenkins tweet read:
By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full– But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait…
Gadot returns as the plot details are still under wraps until more is announced within the December campaign. The cast, however, includes a returning Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, Connie Neilson and Kristen Wiig.
“Wonder Woman 1984” is produced by DC Comics and DC Entertainment, with the help of Warner Bros, who are distributing the film June 5, 2020. Although the general absence of Warner Bros at Comic Con will be mulled over, at least there’s much to anticipate with the vibrant new image, which seems to have even Film Twitter in awe! To hold us off until more in December, check out the colorful poster below!
