Check Out the New Violent Trailer and Character Posters for ‘Straight Outta Compton’

One film that seems to be building buzz with pundits, bloggers, and movie audiences alike is “Straight Outta Compton” from Universal Pictures that’s due out August 14.

Directed by F. Gary Gray and taken from a screenplay written by Andrea Berloff, Jonathan Herman, S. Leigh Savidge, Sheldon Turner, and Alan Wenkus, “Straight Outta Compton” tells the story of the group NWA as it emerges from the streets of Compton, California in the mid-1980s and revolutionizes pop culture with their music and tales about life in the hood.

Featuring an all-star cast that includes Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti, Keith Stanfield, Corey Hawkins, Aldis Hodge, O’Shea Jackson, Jr., and Jason Mitchell, this is already been hailed as something that could create some damage during the awards season where past films like “8 Mile” failed to do (despite winning Best Original Song).

We have the first set of character posters along with the newest trailer down below.  What do you think of the posters and the trailer?
