Yesterday it was announced that fans can join stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford and director Denis Villeneuve for a Facebook Live Q&A on May 8 at 9:00 AM PT. Anyone can join the event at the Facebook Blade Runner 2049 page.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Villeneuve directs with a screenplay by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, with a story by Fancher, based on characters from the novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Philip K. Dick.

Andrew A. Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Bud Yorkin and Cynthia Yorkin produced. Executive producers include Ridley Scott, Tim Gamble, Frank Giustra, Yale Badick, Val Hill and Bill Carraro.

In addition to Gosling and Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto also star.

The first trailer for the film will go before “Alien: Covenant” when that film releases May 19. However, CinemaCon audiences got the first glimpse back in March. In addition, it is rumored, though not confirmed, that some footage may debut with the Live Q&A.

The film releases in theaters in 3D, 2D and IMAX on Oct. 6.
