John Paul Cusack was born June 28, 1966, and gained fame in the mid-80s starring in teen films like Sixteen Candles (1984) and Stand By Me (1986). His breakthrough role came in Cameron Crowe’s Say Anything (1989), playing the eccentric Lloyd Dobler.

Some of Cusack’s more notable films include Eight Men Out (1988), The Grifters (1990), Bullets Over Broadway (1994), Grosse Pointe Blank (1997), Con Air (1997; which I have mistaken as a Michael Bay movie for the longest time ), Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997), The Thin Red Line (1998), Being John Malkovich (1999), High Fidelity (2000; for which he received a Golden Globe nomination), and Runaway Jury (2003).

John Cusack has nine  films due out this year or next, most notably playing Richard Nixon in Lee Daniels’ The Butler.
