On the agenda:

  • It’s a Golden Globes wrap up special!
  • Before getting into the Globes, we play with some Cinephile Showdowns to warm us up.
  • The results of the Golden Globe Awards.
  • How big a boost did “1917” get with wins for Picture and Director?
  • What happened with Netflix’s “The Irishman?” – Can it go the way of Martin Scorsese’s other nominated but shut out work for “Gangs of New York?”
  • Is “Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood” now poised to win Best Picture? Are we in for a split year between Picture and Director?
  • Taron Egerton won the Globe for “Rocketman” but is he actually a threat to upset in a jammed Best Actor field a la Rami Malek?
  • Voting for the Academy Awards closes on Tuesday! Where are we in the race?
  • Nominations have been announced for the Latino Entertainment Journalists Association.
