  1. I mean, is Mrs. Doubtfire actually problematic as hell? Just because it’s a man pretending to be an old woman? The only actual thing I’d consider problematic I guess is the scene when the kids discover the truth. But as a whole I really don’t see the premise as problematic. The main flaw I think is that the movie takes a very far fetched and cartoonish plot and puts into a very realistic movie otherwise. I still think it’s a great movie, but seeing someone actually in court for disguising themselves as a 70 year old nanny is always odd to me.
