Circuit Q&A: What Films Should We Show On Our New AC Streaming Service?

AWARDS CIRTCUIT 10 year banner test 01

**Circuit Q&A’s are our daily community question, posed to the readers of AwardsCircuit that cover various topics from film and television to general wonderings and for instances.**

By now, you’ve surely seen our very exciting news. The Awards Circuit is launching our very own streaming service, providing our fans with an exclusive option for curated cinema. Our press release is out in the world and surely you’re all excited. With these plans whetting many an appetite, we also want to know just what you’d like to see on the service. Is there anything specific you think needs to be a part of AC Streaming?

Some things will be obvious. “Joey’s Kevin Smith Corner” is a given. Where else can you get as deep a dive on “Chasing Amy?” “Karen’s Tribute to Tom Cruise” goes without saying, especially when she focuses on the best of Tom Cruise in various states of undress. The same applies to “Mark’s Sweating to the Oldies” and “Clayton’s Casablanca Conundrum,” which will never actually show “Casablanca.” That’s just the tip of the iceberg, though. There’s a ton of options we’re sifting through, so we’ll be relying on you all to give us some great ideas!

Other options could be less writer specific and more thematic. Obviously, we’ll have a huge collection of Oscar nominees and winners. Moreover, are there certain categories you all want included? Maybe a section of Academy Award snubbed titles? If it’s something that Hulu, Netflix, and all of our other new competitors don’t have, we clearly want to be the ones now sporting it.

Now, it’s your turn. What are your looking forward to on our streaming service? What would you suggest we do? We’re all ears!

When he’s not obsessing over new Oscar predictions on a weekly basis, Joey is seeing between 300 and 350 movies a year. He views the best in order to properly analyze the awards race/season each year, but he also watches the worst for reasons he mostly sums up as "so you all don't have to". In his spare time, you can usually find him complaining about the Jets or the Mets. Still, he lives and dies by film. Joey's a voting member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
