Circuit Q&A – What Was Your Favorite Film Released in March?

**Circuit Q&A’s are our daily community question, posed to the readers of AwardsCircuit that cover various topics from film and television to general wonderings and for instances**

March has come to an end. We’re now in April. As we turn our attention to the new month, we also want to look back a bit at what we just had. March was the best month of 2019 so far, quality wise. Two huge films captured the zeitgeist, that’s for sure. Today, as April gets underway, we want to know what your favorite movie last month was. What March title was your number one?

Two of the biggest March releases, both in terms of commercial and critical success, were “Captain Marvel” and “Us.” Brie Larson‘s star vehicle in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was an important moment for diversity and representation within the MCU. Jordan Peele‘s sophomore feature did the same while solidifying his voice as an essential one in Hollywood. For most of you, one, or both, of these will be the best of the March bunch.

Other titles last month on the smaller side, but with plenty of kudos, include “Apollo 11,” “Ash is Purest White,” “Climax,” “Diane,” “Hotel Mumbai,” and “The Mustang.” These are just some of the things that vied for attention in March. They’re still building audience attention and buzz too, so we could see them even manage to find more fans here in April.

The choice is now yours. When it comes to March, what did it for you most? Was it “Captain Marvel” or “Us?” Maybe something else entirely? What was your favorite new release last month? Let us know!

When he’s not obsessing over new Oscar predictions on a weekly basis, Joey is seeing between 300 and 350 movies a year. He views the best in order to properly analyze the awards race/season each year, but he also watches the worst for reasons he mostly sums up as "so you all don't have to". In his spare time, you can usually find him complaining about the Jets or the Mets. Still, he lives and dies by film. Joey's a voting member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
