It’s no secret that one of the unsung elements of a TV show is it’s music. Because of the content consumed and the amount of work composers have to do, they need the music to feel seamless yet have to make sure to hit the emotional beats and big moments just right, in addition to working on a crazy deadline. In Part 1 of this roundtable I spoke with Jeremy Zuckerman, Noah Sorota and Dave Porter about life as a composer. In the final part I get the guys to shed some light on previous gigs, music as a function of storytelling and some dream projects they’d like to work on. Part 2 kicks off with me asking Noah about his time helping Hans Zimmer do the scores for The Dark Knight trilogy.
