Bo Burnham already has his next project in place. However, he will not be in the director’s chair this time around. Burnham has recently enjoyed success with “Eighth Grade,” winning the DGA for Best First-Time Feature in the process. But now, he’s going to act as a producer. According to Deadline Hollywood, he’ll produce a currently untitled Paramount Players comedy.

In addition, the project already has talent looking to come on board. For instance, Danielle Macdonald and Jaboukie Young-White are currently in talks to star as the leads. Also, Amy York Rubin is set to direct and make her feature film debut. Rubin has previously helmed episodes of “SMILF” and “Angie Tribeca.”

Should she officially join, this would continue an exciting run for Danielle Macdonald. She previously broke through with “Patti Cake$” and her star has been rising ever since. She can be seen in the Netflix films “Dumplin’” and “Bird Box” which premiered last year. Also, she recently appeared in “Skin,” one of the Oscar nominees for Best Live Action Short.

As for Young-White, he’s mainly known for his stand-up comedy and being on “The Daily Show” as a correspondent. In addition, he appeared in “Set It Up” and “Rough Night” where he had small roles. But a project like this could be a bigger breakthrough for him.

The film was previously called “Gay Kid and Fat Chick” while it was being pitched. But it will have a new title once it starts filming. As of right now, story details remain largely unknown. Even the previous title is slightly vague. However, the talent involved should be enough to warrant plenty of interest.
