DGA Awards: Birdman, Transparent and Olive Kitteridge Take Top Prizes

downloadWell…it appears like the Oscar race is all but sewn up as Alejandro González Iñárritu picked up the DGA Award for Feature Film, the movie’s third major guild prize including SAG and PGA. Birdman is looking to follow in the footsteps of Best Picture winners Argo and The King’s Speech by sweeping the big guilds on the way to an Oscar win. On the TV side, Jill Soloway won a DGA Award for Transparent, which looks to set up an interesting battle for the Emmys with Orange is the New Black and Modern Family.
