First Trailer and Red Band Trailer drops for ‘Deadpool’ starring Ryan Reynolds

deadpool-movie-slice-600x200Go figure. I never expected Deadpool to be something folks have been outright clamoring for (especially after his first cinematic use), but here we are. Hype for a look at the flick has been so high since Comic Con, it was only a matter of time until an actual Trailer was released, much like in the cases of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. The Ryan Reynolds comic book vehicle has been building the buzz for a while now, but the convention shot anticipation through the roof with the Trailer that apparently was best in show among all comic book properties. It has been kept from the internet, but now it (or something approximating it) is actually being dropped both in Green and Red Band form, so you can enjoy the Merc with a mouth in all of his glory below. I wasn’t really thinking much about a Deadpool movie at all previously, but now, I’m keen to see more, as this seems to be an absolute blast. Reynolds will play the character in a hard R film written by the duo of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (of Zombieland fame), while Tim Miller directs. From this early look, I’m sold. Give me more…now, preferably. Deadpool will be in theaters this coming February 12th, so until then, this is a clever first look at what might be a surprise hit in the vein of Guardians of the Galaxy next year. Enjoy…
