First Trailer for Zach Braff’s ‘Wish I Was Here’ Premieres

wish i was hereDespite rather mixed reviews out of Sundance (though I think part of that had to do with the notorious Kickstarter campaign that got the project into production), one of the films I’m looking forward to most this year is Zach Braff‘s sophomore outing behind the camera Wish I Was Here. Starring Braff (who also co-writes and directs), along with the likes of Kate Hudson, Joey King, Jim ParsonsMandy Patinkin, Josh Gad, and Ashley Green, it seems like another coming of age dramedy that will continue to divide audiences when it hits theaters at the end of July. A Trailer has dropped for it, and personally, I think this is a solid enough initial look at the flick, reminding me a lot of Garden State (even down to using a song by The Shins), which is a good thing in my book. The movie comes out on July 25th, so take a look at the Trailer below and let us know if you’re looking forward to Wish I Was Here or not. I know I am…

When he’s not obsessing over new Oscar predictions on a weekly basis, Joey is seeing between 300 and 350 movies a year. He views the best in order to properly analyze the awards race/season each year, but he also watches the worst for reasons he mostly sums up as "so you all don't have to". In his spare time, you can usually find him complaining about the Jets or the Mets. Still, he lives and dies by film. Joey's a voting member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
