The 10 Best Films of 2013 (So Far)
The best movie of the year so far, plain and simple, is Derek Cianfrance’s epic tale of fathers and sons. Featuring top notch acting, cinematography, direction, editing, writing, and a score that’s very memorable, I loved what Cianfrance cooked up and it’s far easily my favorite thing of 2013 to date. You can read me waxing poetic about it in my four star review here (the only one of the year at this point, in fact), but my love of this one is well known by now. It’s a March release in name only…this deserved to be a prestige winter release.
