Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, and Bruce Willis will star in Woody Allen’s next film

75As is always the case with Woody Allen, as things ramp up for the release of his upcoming film for the year, information slowly begins coming out on his next project.  With his 2015 release Irrational Man, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone, hitting theaters this summer, we now know who will be in his 2016 outing.

According to reports from Deadline, Allen has the trio of Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, and Bruce Willis signing on the dotted line. Eisenberg and Stewart previously worked together on the excellent Adventureland from 2009.  Eisenberg himself is an Allen vet, having been in To Rome With Love, but it’s a first time collaboration with the Allen for Stewart and Willis. Stewart seems like a great choice, much like how Stone has been so far, while Willis represents a bit of an X factor. If he’s engaged, he could be fantastic. We’ll see though, and I’m cautiously optimistic.

Irrational Man hits on July 24th, so expect a summer 2016 release for this currently untitled flick. I’m always excited for something new from Allen, so this is clearly no exception. Between Irrational Man, the next film, and his series for Netflix, there will be no shortage of product from the man in the next year or so.
