Jordan Peele‘s producing projects are starting to rival his directorial ones in terms of variety and interest. We ran down some of his upcoming ones recently, though that did not include “The Hunt” for Amazon. That series had already added Logan Lerman and Al Pacino to its cast, though we have a new casting decision to announce.

Deadline has the exclusive that Josh Radnor is joining “The Hunt.” The series is a period piece about Nazi hunters in the 1970s. Peele is producing, while David Weil created the show and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon is directing the pilot. In addition to Lerman, Radnor, and Pacino, the cast includes Dylan Baker, Carol Kane, Lena Olin, and Saul Rubinek.

Some more details from the article on what “The Hunt” is going to be about and who Radnor will be playing:

The Hunt, created by David Weil, follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.

Radnor will play Lonny Flash, a movie star who’s secretly a member of Meyer’s (Pacino) organization.

“The Hunt” is shaping up to be a really compelling project over at Amazon. With Peele’s backing, it could potentially break through in a big way. Radnor notably starred on “How I Met Your Mother” and now has a new show.

Jordan Peele won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his self-directed “Get Out.”  He was recently nominated as a producer for Spike Lee’s “BlacKkKlansman,” which won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.
