Things seem to be moving along pretty nicely for the next film from Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. Their new movie is Hail Caesar!, and while we know that George Clooney will star, some new news has hit on the flick. Not only is Universal in line to distribute the project, Josh Brolin has joined the cast. Brolin and Clooney are both Coen vets, so they’ll be in their comfort zones, it seems. You can read more below, but I’m sure we’ll hear plenty more soon on the latest from the Coen Brothers. They finally won me over in a big way with Inside Llewyn Davis, so I’m interested in seeing how this one shapes up for the Brothers Coen.
Here’s the story from Variety:
Josh Brolin is set to co-star with George Clooney in the Joel and Ethan Coens’ next pic, “Hail Caesar!”
Universal Pictures has come on to distribute, with the Coens producing along with Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan for Working Title Films. The Coens will also direct. This collaboration will be the eighth between the Coen brothers and Working Title.
The story follows a Hollywood fixer in the 1950s working to keep a studio’s stars in line.
Clooney has worked with the Coens on several films, including “O Brother Where Art Thou” and “Burn After Reading,” while Brolin last worked with them on “No Country for Old Men.”
Both stars are repped by CAA, and the Coens are repped by UTA.
