For a while, Logan Lerman has been quite under the radar. He appeared in movies like “Noah,” “Fury,” and also “Indignation” a few years ago where he had a starring role. But it feels like it’s been a long time since we’ve seen the rising star. However, he does have an exciting project on the horizon that’ll be on the small screen instead of the big one. According to Deadline, he is currently in talks to headline “The Hunt,” a series executive produced by Jordan Peele for Amazon Studios.
“The Hunt” follows a group of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City known simply as The Hunters. They discover that hundreds of Nazi officials live among them and are plotting a Fourth Reich. It is up to them to dismantle their evil plot and thwart their genocidal intentions. Lerman would play their leader, Jonah Heidelbaum, who becomes tied to The Hunters after his grandmother is murdered.
If a deal is finalized, this would also mark a return to television for Lerman. He previously led the series “Jack and Bobby” which lasted for one season on the WB network in 2004-2005. Given how the quality of television has improved since then, this would make an exciting return to the small screen. Not to mention, because Oscar winner Jordan Peele is involved, that should be a heavy confidence builder.
As of right now, there is no release date for “The Hunt” announced. But the series did receive a straight-to-series 10-episode order back in May. Also, with Logan Lerman in talks to star, we likely won’t have to wait long for an announcement.
