With just a few weeks to go before “Avengers: Infinity War” hits theaters, Marvel released a new batch of Avengers character posters.
The posters highlight individual characters from the entirety of the MCU. The franchise launched in 2008 with Robert Downey, Jr as Iron Man. The rest of the crop of original Avengers includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, and Chris Evans as Captain America.
New additions in recent years include the Guardians of the Galaxy, with Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket and Vin Diesel as Groot. Last year’s sequel also added Karen Gillan as Gamora’s sister Nebula, and Pom Klementieff as Mantis.
We also recently introduced Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, who is joined by Benedict Wong as Wong. Tom Holland is the newest web-slinger as Spider-Man. Chadwick Boseman is Black Panther, and his crew includes Danai Gurira as Okoye and Letitia Wright as Shuri.
Some other favorites returning to the film and getting their own posters include Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Paul Bettany as Vision.
“Avengers: Infinity War” will be the most dangerous adventure yet for our heroes. Together they must stop the deadly and diabolical Thanos (Josh Brolin) from destroying the universe. The film is one of the most ambitious crossover events in cinematic history, although this claim spawned many tweets as counterpoints. Rumors abound that this film will be the end of the road for at least one of the Avengers.
We’ll know soon enough.
“Avengers: Infinity War” hits theaters on April 27.
