What’s On TV? – Thursday (11/21/19) – New Sci-Fi Series ‘Mortel’ Debuts on Netflix

A new science-fiction Netflix series is debuting today and will hopefully satisfy fans of the genre.

Pick of the Day:

“Mortel” (Netflix)

“Mortel” sounds like an intriguing twist on a familiar premise. Three teenage friends must find one’s missing brother, while surviving forces against them at their high school. The hook of the show is the friends are bound together by a supernatural force. The plot sounds as ambiguous as it does ominous and worth finding out what these friends face in their conquest.

Movies on TV:

“Love Actually” (HBO Signature) at 6:40 p.m. ET

It seems like Christmas music is getting air time earlier ever year and holiday films are released in early November. Should you want to give into the early Christmas spirit, “Love Actually” is always a great place to start. Richard Curtis’ ensemble romantic comedy features great performances (particularly by Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman and Liam Neeson) in its tapestry about love at Christmastime.
