New Streaming: Kanopy Unveils April Lineup Including Lulu Wang’s ‘The Farewell’ and Riley Stearns’ ‘The Art of Self-Defense’

The streaming service Kanopy announced their April lineup of new titles hitting their service. With a focus on new titles that aren’t accessible on other streaming platforms, these films are available for free to library cardholders at partnered university and public libraries nationwide.

Below you’ll find a list of the streaming platform’s newest titles this month. Top titles include Lulu Wang’s 2019 comedy-drama “The Farewell,” starring Golden Globe-winner Awkwafina (“Crazy Rich Asians”); Riley Stearns’ 2019 comedy “The Art of Self-Defense,” starring Oscar-nominee Jesse Eisenberg (“The Social Network”) and Alessandro Nivola (“Face/Off”); and Bill Condon’s 2015 suspenseful drama “Mr. Holmes,” starring Oscar-nominees Ian McKellen (“Gods and Monsters”) and Laura Linney (“The Savages”).
