New York Film Critics Online Winners – Spreading the Love

The New York Film Critics Online will announce the winners later today beginning at 2:00pm ET.  I’m a part of the group this year and am very much looking forward to being a part of the process.

(Mark editing) The NYFCO did a great job spreading the love around (as well as avoiding giving Ensemble to Guardians of the Galaxy, which would have been a gross call), recognizing ten films via fifteen awards. See the full winners below.

Best Picture winner is Boyhood
Best Ensemble winner is Birdman
Best Animated Feature winner is The Lego Movie
Best Documenatary Feature winner is Life Itself
Best Foreign Film winner is Two Days, One Night
Best Lead Actor winner is Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything
Best Lead Actress winner is Marion Cotillard for Two Days, One Night
Best Director winner is Richard Linklater for Boyhood
Best Debut Director winner is Dan Gilroy for Nightcrawler
Best Use of Music winner is Get on Up
Best Cinematography winner is Birdman
Best Screenplay winner is Birdman
Best Supporting Actor winner is J.K. Simmons (Whiplash)
Best Supporting Actress winner is Patricia Arquette (Boyhood)
Breakthrough Performance – Jack O’Connell
