The 2017 North Texas Film Critics Association (NTFCA) have just announced their nominees for the best in film, but seems to have ignored one of this year’s biggest films. “Call Me By Your Name,” which has enjoyed a wave of critical acclaim this awards season, has not been nominated in a single category for this year’s nominees. That’s a lot of great nominees, wouldn’t like be the guy who just has to pick one

Texas is a Republican state, they most likely disagreed with CMBYN’s border-line pedophilia relationship (I don’t have a problem with it, but its easy to see people’s uncomfortable reactions).

Christian Palmer

Holy crap they put just about everyone on their ballots don’t they

Baggins

Finally! somebody recognised Baby Driver as Best Picture Material!

Well at least they seem to have recognized Logan as being both an excellent film and an audience pleaser which is a combination you can’t get much of in the theaters these days. Surprised there isn’t something for Mudbound, but their rules might not allow it since it is Netflix.
