‘Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood,’ ‘Parasite’ Lead Australian Academy International Awards Wins

ONCE UPON TIME IN HOLLYWOOD

The ninth annual Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) unveiled their winners for the International Awards in film. “Parasite” took home the Australian academy’s honor for Best Film. Quentin Tarantino was awarded Best Direction for his film, “Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood.”

Taika Waititi won Best Screenplay from the awards committee for his film “Jojo Rabbit,” a prize it secured in a category which featured “The Irishman,” “Parasite” and “Joker.” The Martin Scorsese gangster drama shut out of wins, even though it entered with a leading six mentions.

Margot Robbie was also recognized in winning Best Supporting Actress for her role in Jay Roach’s “Bombshell.”
