‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Releases a Poster to Tease the Next Quentin Tarantino Film

Once Upon a Time in

Anticipation is high for Quentin Tarantino‘s ninth film. “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” could be the biggest 2019 release of that all, and that includes a new “Star Wars” outing. With only an A-list cast having been announced and a few still images to go on, anything new is gold for eager fans. Their prayers have been answered, as there’s something new to share from Tarantino’s latest.

Today we can debut the first Poster for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” potentially in advance of a first Trailer hitting the web soon. Written and directed by Tarantino, the epic stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, who both have previously appeared in the filmmaker’s works, and are featured prominently in the Poster. DiCaprio plays  Rick Dalton, a fading television star, while Pitt portrays his best friend and stunt double, Cliff Booth. They navigate Hollywood in 1969, a world they barely recognize anymore. Expect Tarantino to include numbers elements of the time, including, but not limited to, Charles Manson and his infamous murder spree.

“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” also stars an ensemble cast that includes Bruce Dern, Lena Dunham, Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch, Damien Lewis, Michael Madsen, Scoot McNairy, Timothy Olyphant, Al Pacino, Luke Perry, Margot Robbie, Tim Roth, Kurt Russell, and many more. Robert Richardson again provides the cinematography for Tarantino. The movie hits in July, though expect a Trailer to pair with this poster potentially very soon. For the moment, this look just reminds us all that DiCaprio and Pitt are back in the QT fold.

When he’s not obsessing over new Oscar predictions on a weekly basis, Joey is seeing between 300 and 350 movies a year. He views the best in order to properly analyze the awards race/season each year, but he also watches the worst for reasons he mostly sums up as "so you all don't have to". In his spare time, you can usually find him complaining about the Jets or the Mets. Still, he lives and dies by film. Joey's a voting member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.

Hoping for a Trailer soon!

This looks horrible…paintbrush to soften their face wrinkles.

This has absolutely no basis whatsoever since none of us have seen the film yet, but at the moment I’m predicting this to go more so the way of the Hateful Eight, where it gets a few nominations here and there, and even maybe a supporting actor/actress nomination, but doesn’t really get a ton of above the line nominations.

I think this film could do a ‘American Hustle.’ I really don’t see it doing great at the future Award shows and I could be wrong.

I hope this isn’t the final poster, because this doesn’t live up to the posters of past Tarantino films whatsoever.
