After the official trailer debuted for Alexander Payne’s upcoming dramedy “Nebraska” starring Best Actor hopeful Bruce Dern and SNL alum Will Forte, Paramount Pictures went ahead and released the new poster along with new stills and images.

The film debuted at the Cannes Film Festival where it won the Best Actor prize for the Oscar-nominated actor Bruce Dern.  He was previously nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1979 for his performance in Hal Ashby’s Oscar-nominated “Coming Home” starring Academy Award winners Jon Voight and Jane Fonda.  Dern was also nominated for a Golden Globe for his work.  In addition, the father of actress Academy Award nominated actress Laura Dern, was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1975, for playing Tom Buchanan in Jack Clayton’s adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” with Robert Redford.

Following its debut at Cannes, “Nebraska” screened at the Telluride Film Festival where it received great praise from critics.  Payne’s film will have its bow later this month at the New York Film Festival.  “Nebraska” is currently predicted in the Leading Actor category and is long-listed in several others including Best Picture, Best Director, and Original Screenplay.

The film is written by Bob Nelson and co-stars June Squibb, who is currently ranked #8 in Supporting Actress, Stacy Keach, and Bob Odendrik.  It tells the story of a father and son who take a road trip from Montana to Nebraska to claim a million dollar sweepstakes prize.

The film opens in limited theaters on November 15.
