‘Parasite’ and ‘Marriage Story’ Strike Big with Utah Film Critics Association

Parasite

The Utah Film Critics Association (UFCA) have announced their winners in film. The critics group recognized Bong Joon-Ho’s “Parasite” with the Best Picture honor, also awarding it with a win in Best Original Screenplay. Formed in 2002, the Utah Film Critics Association meets every December to vote on the year’s best in cinema.

The lead acting wins were given to “Marriage Story” co-stars Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson, with the Best Supporting wins going to Joe Pesci for “The Irishman” and Florence Pugh for “Little Women.”

The group’s distinct Vice/Martin Award, named after critics Jeff Vice (who died in 2014) and Jimmy Martin (who died in June), and given to the best performance in a science fiction, horror or fantasy film, went to Robert Downey Jr for his role in “Avengers: Endgame.”
