‘Parasite’ Crowned Best Film By Alliance of Women Film Journalists

The Alliance of Women Film Journalists (AWFJ) announced their winners for the year 2019. Named Best Film is Bong Joon-ho‘s award-winning trailblazing feature, “Parasite.” Joon-ho’s film also won for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Non-English Language Film.

The AWFJ honored Ava DuVernay with the Outstanding Achievement by A Woman in The Film Industry Award, for creating ARRAY Releasing and continuously championing underrepresented voices. The association’s special mention awards featured the award for Bravest Performance, which was awarded to Aisling Franciosi for her performance in Jennifer Kent’s “The Nightingale.”
