Here’s a bit of news that you might not have seen coming. We’re just about a month away from Christopher Nolan unveiling his World War II epic “Dunkirk” on the world. Though as highly anticipated as anything from the auteur, the publicity machine has been a little quieter than usual. That’s perhaps to be expected, considering this is a serious war film and not a science fiction adventure of a comic book movie. Something has come out though, in addition to the Trailers and such, which you won’t expect. We have a running time for the flick, and it’s not going to be pushing the three hour mark.
Believe it or not, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “Dunkirk” is only 107 minutes long. That’s one hour and 47 minutes, which is substantially shorter than anything Nolan has put out since his debut “Following“. We’ll see next month if this means anything, but we could be getting a leaner and meaner Nolan in July. Stay tuned there. “Dunkirk” will be out everywhere on July 21st. Sit tight for more!
