Second Trailer Suggests Awards Play for Warner Bros Upcoming ‘Prisoners’

Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal standout in the newest look…

prisoners_posterWell if we weren’t looking at Denis Villenueve’s upcoming thriller Prisoners as a possible awards contender, the second trailer suggests a very strong story with possible standout performances from Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and maybe even Paul Dano.  Someone suggested we keep an eye on Melissa Leo as well but the trailer doesn’t show too much of her.  I’m open to a bunch of surprises from the upcoming fall slate.

Could this also be a possible SAG Ensemble contender?  You decide.
