Six Spot #6: Best Director 2007

Oscar Question

Welcome back to The Six Spot!  In case you missed last week’s 2003 Best Actress Six Spot, you can catch it here.

This week, we return to the Best Director race (thanks to @MovieNut14 for inspiring me).  While I knocked the 2011 awards season for failing to produce any real contenders aside from the Oscar-nominated quartet, 2007 gave us such a wide breadth of also-rans that even as I write this, I have yet to decide who the Six Spot will be.  Usually, when I write Six Spots for races I lived through and watched closely, I have an idea as to who was the near-miss nominee that year.  However, 2007 had so many logical Six Spots that this is going to be a doozy.  Here goes nothing.

Here goes nothing!
