Apologies for the delay in posting this obituary, dear readers, but to be honest this news hit me a lot harder than I thought it would. Many of us were already aware of his struggles with pancreatic cancer and other health problems, but Steve Jobs’ death at the age of 56 is still a devastating loss.
As someone who believes wholeheartedly in the American entrepreneurial spirit, I was a huge admirer of Steve Jobs. Beyond being the brians behind some of the most successful computer inventions in history, Jobs should hold a special place in the heart of every cinephile for his part in the creation of Pixar. While he is no longer with us, his influence on the world will undoubtedly be felt long after, and his unbridled creativity and passion should be a role model for everyone.
