After seeing his name cast at the previous Tribal Council, Tony took offense to being targeted by the members outside his alliance, increasing his level of paranoia. LJ and Trish picked up on Tony’s growing insecurities, and made note to keep him reeled in. Tony had other plans, though, recognizing LJ as a strong threat to beat him in the end. Rather than break their alliance, he conned LJ into thinking Woo should go next so that he could use LJ’s thinking against him with his group.

Tree-mail brought word of the upcoming Reward Challenge, one that would provide the winners with a day at the spa, including showers, massages, cocktails, and lunch. Tony felt determined to win, and was paired with Spencer and Jeremiah in the challenge. The other two teams consisted of Woo, Tasha, and Kass on one, and Jefra, Trish, and LJ on the other. Tony’s group took a large lead, thanks primarily to Jeremiah. It was a lead that they would not relinquish, and Tony looked at his situation as a way to get Jeremiah and Spencer on board to blindside LJ.

Jeremiah and Spencer heard Tony’s thoughts at possibly hooking up with them later in the game, though neither seemed to trust him much at all.

Jefra spoke. I didn’t hear much though. A few blahs or something like that.

LJ started the conversation with Jefra and Trish about voting out Woo, just as Tony had planned. LJ saw voting out Woo as an opportunity to calm Tony, but Trish thought it was a foolhardy decision to remove one of their core six this early.

Tasha attempted to meet with LJ to discuss strategy, but LJ stood her up out of fear that Tony might explode if he found them together. It’s always fun to watch someone like LJ put their full faith in someone like Tony, who is simultaneously trying to vote LJ out.  The Individual Immunity Challenge tested the players’ memory, and Tasha proved to have the strongest of the group. Jeff presented her with the Immunity Necklace, keeping Tasha safe from tonight’s vote.

LJ felt it was a good idea to split the vote between Jeremiah and Spencer, girls voting for the former, with the boys voting for the latter. Tony still felt the need to blindside LJ though, exposing to Woo the fact that LJ had mentioned voting for him. Tony then approached Spencer about voting LJ out as well, who then spoke to Jeremiah to make sure he was on board as well. Tony’s next move was to mention to Trish that that LJ might be a threat to vote out Woo, but Trish had already been told by LJ that it was Tony that wanted Woo out. She refused to vote for one of her six, however, so it was left wide open heading into Tribal Council.

Once the votes were read, the blindside was delivered hard and heavy, and LJ was sent to the jury with five votes cast against him LJ(Woo and Tony being the two from their alliance to turn on him). The game continues to twist and turn in ways no one can possibly be predicting right now, thanks in large part to players like Kass and Tony who are keeping things fresh and interesting. It’s always a bonus when Survivor casts their show well, as infrequent as that might happen. It should continue to be a crazy and unpredictable race to the finish line.
