Terrence Malick Returns with the First Trailer for ‘Knight of Cups’ starring Christian Bale & Cate Blanchett

knightofcups_image2The long-awaited trailer for Terrence Malick’s “Knight of Cups” has finally premiered, just behind the announcement of its inclusion and premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, which takes place in February.

The film stars Academy Award winners Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, and Natalie Portman.  Oscar-winner Emmanuel Lubezki returns as Cinematographer.  The two collaborated on “The Tree of Life,” for which both received Academy Award nominations.

The synopsis reads as follows courtesy of iMDB:

A man, temptations, celebrity, and excess.

Lots of information there, eh?  The film premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival in 2012 where Imogen Poots won a Breakthrough Award alongside Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Scoot McNairy, and Nate Parker, who all had films screen there.

Haven’t been this excited to see a movie since I saw the trailer for To the Wonder. Never a Malik film I haven’t loved. Still think Lubezki was robbed for Tree of Life. That movie was simply gorgeous
