Does it every cross your mind what persuaded someone to pick a certain outfit to wear on the red carpet? Over the years I’ve grown to love fashion, and if I had the money to dress better I would, but alas I do not. Although, it’s free to judge our many famous celebrities on what they choose to wear. Sunday at the Golden Globes, the stars sported many different trends. Take a look at my list of the Best Dressed women at the Golden Globes.
Smash star Megan Hilty looked simply elegant in this Novis dress. Sometimes simple & classy is the way to go. Jodie Foster may have confused us all a bit with her acceptance speech, but she looked fabulous in her navy gown. Veep’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus stood out in this Vera Wang corset gown. I would have loved to have seen some jewels around her neck but she looks simply stunning. If you know me you’ll be surprised that I included Nicole Kidman on my best dressed list. This black Alexander McQueen gown is beautiful with its unique design and Kidman pulls it off perfectly with her statuesque figure. I love this Marchesa dress on Golden Globe nominee Amy Adams, I just wish the nude color didn’t wash her out so much. For years we’ve seen pregnant stars try to pull off certain fashion designs on the red carpet, but House of Lies star Kristen Bell hits the nail on the head with this gorgeous Jenny Packham gown. I love this Dior Couture gown on Golden Globe winner Jennifer Lawrence. I think the color is bold, the black belt is perfect and the structure is age appropriate. What keeps this dress from being my absolute favorite is the mess going on with the bust. Aside from the messy bust, the bold color on this dress makes it almost perfect. I wish Kate Hudson’s movies were as good as her fashion choices. Hudson is near perfection in this Alexander McQueen gown. She pulls off comfort and edgy in one dress. I’m not sure why Jessica Alba was at the Golden Globes but she turned heads in this Oscar de la Renta gown. The moment I saw Nashville star Hayden Panettiere walk the red carpet in this Roberto Cavalli gown I knew she’d be the leader of my best dressed list. Over the years Panettiere has tried way too hard on the red carpet, but this Cavalli gown fits her petite frame to perfection, her hair and jewelry are simple and the pop of color her pink purse brings to the white dress pulls the whole outfit together perfectly. Who do you think was the best dressed star at the Golden Globes?
