3. “High Maintenance” (HBO)

Starring: Ben Sinclair, Avery Monsen, Heléne Yorke
Synopsis: A nameless weed delivery-guy (Sinclair) transports the goods to people in New York city.

Why you should watch: Viewers might already be familiar with “High Maintenance.” Originally a web series that premiered in Nov. 2012 on Vimeo, “High Maintenance” was created by husband and wife team Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld (an Emmy award-winning casting director for her work on “30 Rock“) and aired for two seasons over the course of three years before being picked up by HBO last year for a six-episode order. The web series attracted the talents of comedian Hannibal Buress and “Downtown Abbey” actor Dan Stevens, even producing positive responses from”Orange is the New Black” creator Jenji Kohan and The New Yorker critic Emily Nussbaum, describing the series as “(f)inally, finally, finally.” What more convincing do you need?
Premiere Date: Sept. 16
