TV: Winners and Losers of the Emmy Nominations

Battle of the Bastards Game of Thrones 1

The Emmy’s announced their nominations yesterday! With so many snubs and surprises throughout the nominations, there were definitely some shows that made out like bandits. On the other hand, some fan favorites went home empty handed again. With that in mind we broke down some of the winners and losers of Emmy nomination morning.

The Americans Persona Non Grata Matthew Rhys Keri Russell Frank Langella

Winner- The Americans

Wow. It’s about time is all I can say. It turns out I’m not the only one who watches the show and thank god. It feels like “The Americans” is now in line for a “Breaking Bad” level run as it sets itself up to finish off the series. Not only did it score nominations for Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, but also noms for Best Drama Series, Best Writing, and another nod for series vet Margo Martindale in guest actress. What a season, and it all paid off.
