Venice: Festival Crowd Loves Cuarón, ‘Roma’ and Paves the Way for Netflix

For many here at Awards Circuit, we’ve been waiting with baited breath for “ROMA” from Alfonso  Cuarón. Now we’ve finally got word that the film is every bit the technical marvel we were hoping it could become. Not only does it look like Cuarón may be on his way to another director nomination, but the sound and visuals are being consistently cited. On top of that, some of the performances have gained some major praise. The question has been whether or not Netflix was betting on the right talent. It seems based on this response, Netflix was right to put their eggs in the Cuarón basket.

What do you think of “ROMA” and its Oscar chances? Does this spell a huge contender for Netflix on our hands? Let us hear in the comments below!

“ROMA” will release on Netflix on Dec. 14, 2018.
