Lara Croft is back. The new Warner Bros. and MGM “Tomb Raider” reboot just released another trailer for the upcoming film, featuring Alicia Vikander (“Ex Machina”) kicking ass on her quest to find out what happened to her father. Watch the trailer below.

The reboot is an origin story of the famous tomb raider, who began life as the fierce, independent daughter of an odd adventurer who vanished during her youth. Unwilling to accept his death or take over the global empire her father left behind, a 21-year-old Lara sets on a quest to find out what really happened to her dad, traveling to his last known destination: a legendary tomb on a mythical island, somewhere off the Japanese coastline. The young adventurer soon finds out that the journey isn’t easy, and will test her wits, strength and determination to find her father. If she makes it through, she’ll earn the coveted title of tomb raider, but her survival is far from guaranteed.

Vikander leads the reboot as the kick-ass Lara, with Dominic West (“Money Monster”) playing her father Lord Richard Croft. Walter Goggins (“The Hateful Eight”), Daniel Wu (“Into the Badlands”) and Oscar nominee Kristen Scott Thomas (“The English Patient”) will also star. Roar Uthaug (“The Wave”) directs off a script from Geneva Robertson-Dworet (“Captain Marvel”) and Alastair Siddons (“Trespass Against Us”). Oscar winner Graham King (“The Departed”) produces under his GK Films banner, with Patrick McCormick (“Mortdecai”), Denis O’Sullivan (“Allied”) and Noah Hughes (“Tomb Raider”) executive producing.

“Tomb Raider” hits theaters March 16. Watch the latest trailer below.
