Wednesday evening, Apple released “Jericho,” a new trailer from the upcoming original series, “Servant.”
Academy Award nominee M. Night Shyamalan directs the series and serves as Executive Producer. The official synopsis describes the series in this way:
The half hour psychological thriller follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.
IMDb explains a bit more about the show’s premise, and it is sure to spark a lot of discussion.
Earlier this year, Shyamalan capped off his own superhero trilogy with “Glass,” the sequel to “Unbreakable” and “Split.” He is joined in this new endeavor by BAFTA-nominated creator, executive producer and writer Tony Basgallop (“Inside Men”).
Lauren Ambrose and Toby Kebbell star as Dorothy and Sean Turner. Ambrose is best known for her work on HBO’s “Six Feet Under,” which earned her two Primetime Emmy nominations. Kebbell’s recent film credits include “Kong: Skull Island” and last year’s “Destroyer.”
The series also stars Nell Tiger Free, best known as playing the older Myrcella Baratheon on “Game of Thrones.” And rounding out the cast is Rupert Grint, who is best known for his role as the beloved Ron Weasley in the “Harry Potter” franchise. Grint has recently moved into more television, with starring roles on “Sick Note” and “Snatch.”
The new trailer is titled “Jericho” and quietly, enigmatically shows someone assembling a lifelike doll. Check out the trailer to see more.
