Watch the just released “Time To Live” Featurette from Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros.’ “Blade Runner 2049”! The sci fi triller is a sequel to the 1982 “Blade Runner,” and features Ryan Gosling as Officer K, a new blade runner searching for Rick Deckard. Harrison Ford reprises his role as Rick Deckard, a former LAPD blade runner who’s been missing for 30 years.
The film picks up 30 years later from the original “Blade Runner,” where Officer K discovers an old secret that could upheave the remnants of society. Officer K soon begins a quest to find long-lost Rick Deckard, our hero from the previous film. Gosling and Ford are supported by a star-studded cast. The cast includes Ana de Armas (“War Dogs”), Sylvia Hoeks (“Berlin Station”), Robin Wright (“Wonder Woman”), Mackenzie Davis (“Black Mirror”), Carla Juri (“Brimstone”), and Lennie James (“The Walking Dead”). Dave Bautista (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) and Jared Leto (“Dallas Buyer’s Club) will also star.
The film is spearheaded by director Denis Villeneuve, who directs the screenplays written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green. The film’s story is by Fancher, and is based on characters from the novel, “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Philip K. Dick. “Blade Runner 2049” is produced by Andrew A. Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Bud Yorkin and Cynthia Yorkin. Notably, it is executive produced by Ridley Scott, the original director for “Blade Runner.” Tim Gamble (“I AM JFK Jr.), Frank Giustra (Killer Instinct), Yale Badick (“The Silent Man”), Val Hill and Bill Carraro (“The Tuskegee Airmen”) also executive produce the film.
