It has been quite a while since any news of “Collateral Beauty” has been announced. The dry spell is officially snapped, however, as the full-length trailer for the film released today.

“Collateral Beauty” follows a New York ad man (Will Smith) on a downward spiral after a personal tragedy. His colleagues devise a unique plan to help him with his depression. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is an unconventional drama. In it, the actors portray living embodiments of Love, Time and Death.

The film has been one to look out for due to its star-studded cast. Smith, Keira Knightley, Kate WinsletHelen Mirren, Edward Norton, Naomie Harris and Michael Peña all star.

David Frankel (“The Devil Wears Prada”) directs, with a script by Allan Loeb (“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”). Anthony Bregman (“Foxcatcher”), Bard Dorros (“Spotlight), Kevin Frakes (“John Wick”), Loeb and Michael Sugar (“Spotlight”) are on board to produce.

The film releases Dec. 16, 2016, putting it in prime awards season real estate. As was previously reported, “Collateral Beauty” will compete with “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” for box office winnings on that date.

When a successful New York advertising executive (Will Smith) experiences a deep personal tragedy and retreats from life entirely, his colleagues devise a drastic plan to force him to confront his grief in a surprising and profoundly human way.

“Collateral Beauty” features an all-star cast, including Will Smith (“Suicide Squad,” “Concussion”), Edward Norton (“Birdman or [The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance]”), Keira Knightley (“The Imitation Game”), Michael Peña (“The Martian”), Naomie Harris (“Spectre”), Jacob Latimore (“The Maze Runner”), with Oscar winners Kate Winslet (“The Reader,” “Steve Jobs”) and Helen Mirren (“The Queen,” “Trumbo”).
