WATCH: First Official Trailer for ‘Justice League’ From Warner Bros

Warner Bros released the first official trailer for Zack Snyder‘s anticipated superhero collaboration, “Justice League.”

Films in the DC cinematic universe have been received with mixed results. However, fans were looking forward to finally getting a first glimpse at the film intended to rival “The Avengers.” “Justice League” brings together Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Superman (Henry Cavill), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg are expected to appear, as well as others.

Details are still a little scarce regarding plot. But the villain is confirmed to be Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds). Unlike Marvel, which released individual films on all of its Avengers prior to their eventual meeting, DC is taking a different approach. “Justice League” will be the first formal introduction of Aquaman, the Flash, or Cyborg, each of whom played a bit part in “Batman v. Superman.”

Director Zack Snyder reunites with screenwriter Chris Terrio. Terrio won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for “Argo.” He followed that win with the widely criticized “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Gal Gadot stars in this summer’s first standalone “Wonder Woman” film.

Prior to joining the Justice League, Jason Momoa was known to “Game of Thrones” fans as Khal Drogo in season 1 of the ultra popular HBO series. His Aquaman film is due out in 2018.

Ezra Miller recently starred in “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” He also garnered a lot of attention for his work in “We Need to Talk About Kevin” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” His Flash film is expected in 2020.

Ray Fisher is mostly known for his stage work. However, he also gets a Cyborg film in 2020.

“Justice League” will be released in the US on Nov. 17.
