The trailer and poster for Ridley Scott’s latest film is finally here. “All the Money in the World” is a heart-wrenching, dramatic retelling of the kidnapping of the 16 year old John Paul Getty III, made even more complicated by an recalcitrant grandfather, bloodthirsty kidnappers, and a hefty ransom.

“All the Money in the World” follows the teen’s mother, Gail, who’s desperate to save her son from his violent captors. After a failed attempt to convince billionaire grandfather John Paul Getty Sr. to pay the ransom, his financial advisor Fletcher Chase and Gail set out to save her son before it’s too late. With every passing moment, the teen’s captors grow more impatient. The dramatic biopic is a tense race against time that shows the true value of a mother’s love.

Michelle Williams (“Wonderstruck”) portrays worried mother Gail, with Kevin Spacey (“House of Cards”) playing Getty Sr. and Mark Wahlberg (“Deepwater Horizon”) playing Chase. Charlie Plummer (“Lean on Pete”) plays Gail’s son and kidnapping victim John Paul Getty III. Romain Duris (“Madame Hyde”) and Timothy Hutton (“American Crime”) will also star.

“All the Money in the World’s” screenplay is written by David Scarpa (“The Last Castle”), who adapted it from John Pearson’s book of the same name. Dan Friedkin (“Dunkirk”), Bradley Thomas (“The Square”), Quentin Curtis (“Lucan”), Chris Clark (“Legend”), Mark Huffam (“The Martian”) and Scott are producing alongside TriStar Pictures, a Sony Company.

“All the Money in the World” premieres Dec. 8. Watch the official trailer below, and see the poster above.
