Hulu has released the first official trailer for its upcoming original series “Castle Rock.”

The series takes place in the town of Castle Rock, Maine, a fictional town created in the works of Stephen King. Characters from many of King’s novels and short stories will intertwine, although the specific details haven’t been shared.

Some of the stories that have been set in Castle Rock include “Cujo,” “Needful Things,” and “The Body,” which became the film “Stand By Me.” Other works that reference the town include “The Stand,” “It,” and “11/22/63,” which became a popular mini-series on Hulu.

“Castle Rock” stars André Holland (“American Horror Story: Roanoke”), and Melanie Lynskey (“I Don’t Feel At Home in This World Anymore”). Sissy Spacek (“Carrie”), Scott Glenn (“The Leftovers”), Jane Levy (“Don’t Breathe”), and Bill Skarsgård (“It”) also star.

The show is produced by Bad Robot, the company started by director J.J. Abrams, who serves as an Executive Producer. Bad Robot has a solid track record with hit shows including “Alias,” “Lost,” and “Westworld.”

The release date has not been officially announced, but the series will be available exclusively on Hulu in 2018.
