The badass private investigator is finally back for Season 2. Netflix has just dropped a premiere date for “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” after two years of waiting for MCU fans. Jones will be back to kick some ass on March 8, 2018. According to EW, the streaming platform also issued a new tagline for the show, which reads:

New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.

Jones has been off saving NYC from a Hand takeover with fellow New York heroes Luke Cage, Daredevil and the Iron Fist. The super-heroine now struggles to adjust to life in the spotlight after killing Kilgrave, but according to lead actor Krysten Ritter, Jones’ struggles will “be more in her heart” in comparison to the head-trip of Season 1. Netflix also released a first image from Season 2 on Friday, which somehow sees the return of David Tennant (“Broadchurch”) as Kilgrave for at least one episode.

“Marvel’s Jessica Jones” has been one of the MCU’s more popular stories, with the series winning a Peabody Award back in 2015, according to Variety. Rachael Taylor (“The Defenders”), Carrie-Ann Moss (“The Matrix”) and Eka Darville (“Empire”) are set to return for Season 2 alongside newcomers Janet McTeer (“Albert Nobbs”) and J.R. Ramirez (“Arrow”). Show creator Melissa Rosenberg (“Dexter”) helms as the series’ showrunner, with Raelle Tucker (“True Blood”), Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Luke Cage”) and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Daredevil”) as executive producers.

“Marvel’s Jessica Jones” returns March 8, 2018. Watch the premiere date announcement below.
