As many countries around the world continue their lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrities have been doing their best to entertain fans and bring them a little joy during these dark times. The latest of those is Michael Madsen, who has recreated his iconic scene from Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” to the tune of Stealers Wheel’s ‘Stuck in the Middle With You.’
The video, which can be found below, features many of Madsen’s family members with fake bloody bandages on their ear, much in the same vein as Kirk Baltz’s “Reservoir Dogs” character after Madsen’s Mr. Blonde gets his hands on him. The camera then shows Madsen dancing in suit and shades, before a closing message urging people to stay home and to stay safe.
Tarantino’s 1992 crime drama was his feature-length debut, with an all-star cast joining Madsen including Tim Roth, Steve Buscemi, Harvey Keitel, Edward Bunker, Chris Penn, Lawrence Tierney and Tarantino himself.
Since his famous role as Mr. Blonde, Madsen has collaborated with Tarantino on a couple of other occasions, including “The Hateful Eight” as Joe Gage, and a cameo appearance in “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.”
He most recently featured in Tara Wood’s documentary “QT8: The First Eight,” which takes a look back at Tarantino’s wonderful career along with interviews with many of his collaborators, including Madsen, Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Bruce Dern, Lucy Liu, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Diane Kruger, and Christoph Waltz.
