Disney have released a new full length trailer for “Frozen 2,” the highly anticipated sequel to 2013’s Oscar-winning animated feature. The sequel includes the returning cast of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathon Groff.

Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee return to direct the sequel to the animated feature with a script written by Allison Shroeder. “Frozen” debuted in theaters back in 2013 and quickly grew into its own pop culture phenomenon. It grossed over $400 million at the U.S. box office and over $1.2 billion at the worldwide mark. It went on to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature as well as Best Original Song for Idina Menzel’s popular track “Let It Go.” The film also took home the Best Animated Feature prize at the Golden Globes.

Official synopsis:

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await Elsa as she ventures into the unknown to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle? The answers are calling her but also threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she’ll face a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.

The newest trailer for “Frozen 2” reveals more about what journey lies ahead for the Elsa and the others as secrets and histories are uncovered about her magic. The clip shows a tremendous amount of action and enough whimsical adventure that is sure to bring interest in its winter debut. New voices to the cast include Santino Fontana, Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown.
