Ahead of their big Hall H panel at Comic Con, 20th Century Fox unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming sequel “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.”
The film picks up some months after its predecessor, “Kingsman: The Secret Service” ended. In this installment, the headquarters of the super spy agency are destroyed. In order to save the world, the remaining Kingsmen must team up with the agents from Statesman, a US based agency. Together, the spies join forces to defeat a deadly new enemy. And once again save the world.
Reprising their roles for “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” are Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech), Taron Egerton (“Kingsman: The Secret Service”), and Mark Strong (“Miss Sloane”). Julianne Moore (“Still Alice”) and Halle Berry (“X-Men”) are new to the cast. Channing Tatum (“Foxcatcher”) and Jeff Bridges (“True Grit”) also star. There is also a special appearance by Sir Elton John.
“Kingsman: The Secret Service” was a surprise hit in 2015. It earned $128 million domestically and more than $400 million worldwide. “Golden Circle” reunites the cast with director and co-writer Matthew Vaughn. Vaughn also directed superhero flicks “X-Men: First Class” and “Kick Ass.” He co-wrote the script with Jane Goldman. Anticipating the success of “Golden Circle,” 20th Century Fox already announced “Kingsman 3.”
